ATLANTIC CITY BOARDWALK - The world's first boardwalk, built in 1881, has four mile of hotels, amusements, and casinos. The Convention Hall, built in 1928 and recently restored, uses the world's largest pipe organ for musical entertainment. 609-345-5600.

ATLANTIC CITY HISTORICAL MUSEUM - Preserves and showcases artifacts of Atlantic City's history. Exhibits on piers, nightlife, ethnic contributions and more. Free Admission 609-347-5839.

RIPLEY'S BELIEVE IT OR NOT MUSEUM - Houses strange and unusual exhibits from Robert Ripley's travels. Also, films and interactive funhouse 609-347-2001.

SEA LIFE MUSEUM MARINE MAMMAL STRANDING CENTER - This unique rehabilitation facility is devoted to rescuing stranded or injured whales, dolphins, porpoises, seals, and sea turtles and returning them to their natural habitats. 609-266-0538.

CONVENTION HALL - This 1929 center which was recently restored, is the site of the Miss America Pageant. It has the world's largest pipe organ. 609-449-7130.

ABSECON LIGHTHOUSE - Built in 1857, designed by Civil War General George G. Meade, the tower stands over 150 feet. It was decommissioned in 1933. 609-927-5218.

GARDNER'S BASIN - Once a home to pirates, privateers and whalers, it is now a restored maritime village with waterfront park. 609-348-2880.

TOWNE OF HISTORIC SMITHVILLE - Smithville - 32 restored or reconstructed buildings depict crossroads town of the 1700's. Colonial crafts available for sale. 609-652-7777.
